Class Action: Did Ford Also Tamper with Emissions Tests? Company’s diesel-engine Super Duty trucks under the microscope

By ,

Ford’s F-250 and F-350 Super duty trucks with Power Stroke turbo-diesel engines built between 2011 and 2017 may produce more emissions than claimed by the company. This is what is spelled out in a new class action suit brought yesterday by Siskinds LLP and Sotos LLP against the American auto giant and against equipment manufacturer Bosch.

The suit alleges that Ford equipped the vehicles listed with software that allowed for giving false results during emissions testing and thus circumventing regulations. The software was allegedly developed and supplied to Ford by Bosch.

Any persons or businesses in Canada who bought or leased one of the specified trucks can contact Siskinds LLP or Sotos LLP. Residents of Quebec are asked to contact the Siskinds Desmeules firm.

The law firms are working in collaboration with Hagens Berman Sobol Shapiro LLP, an important company in the field of class actions in the United States, which has simultaneously brought a similar suit in the name of affected American buyers and lessees.

The accusations against Ford follow in the wake of similar complaints made against Volkswagen, Mitsubishi, Renault, Nissan, Fiat and others that have been accused of misleading consumers in regards to emissions test results for their vehicles.
