Formula E: China Racing joins the field

By ,

Team China Racing has become the second entry for the Formula E series, the global electric championship that will be launched in 2014.

British team Drayson Racing was the first to announce its participation to the FIA Formula E championship, a new series that will feature electric single seaters in races held in cities around the world.

After Rio and Rome, the 2014 calendar will probably feature a race in China, likely Shanghai.

While Team China Racing will initially use the Formula E customer car currently being developed by Spark Racing Technology (SRT), McLaren and Dallara , the team aims to build its own electric formula cars within three years, supported by Chinese EV manufacturers.
