Geneva 2011: HAMANN and MANSORY revisit Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG

MANSORY and HAMANN, two renowned premium car tuning companies, revealed their own interpretations of the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG to be displayed this week at the Geneva Motor Show.

MANSORY increased output from 563 to 660 horsepower by adding a stainless steel exhaust system, a sport air filter and revised electronics.

In terms of styling, the front bumper is replaced with a more aerodynamic fascia that also supplies extra fresh air to the enlarged cooler. The rear section gets a new diffuser and spoiler that improve downforce.

Several body parts have been made lighter, starting with the doors. As a result, the MANSORY car weighs 90 kilograms less than the standard SLS AMG. Larger air intakes and new LED headlights are part of the mix, too.

Meanwhile, the HAMANN HAWK generates 636 horsepower and 501 lb-ft of torque in part thanks to a titanium exhaust system and new manifold. It sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.6 seconds before reaching a top speed of 320 km/h.

Similar to MANSORY's creation, their revamped gullwing receives a complete body kit, a rear spoiler, larger intakes and new LEDs.

However, it stands out with 21-inch forged alloy wheels, a 30-mm lower ride height and a unique Everose Gold body paint.
