2011 GP3 championship drivers had three last days of testing at Silverstone before the beginning of the season in Istanbul in May.

Among the drivers at the top in England, American driver Gabby Chaves was one of the men who set the pace. Gabby Chaves, who secured his seat with Addax team one week ago, set the best performance on Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday morning sessions. The US driver, native from Colombia, was runner up in F. BMW South America in 2009, before he moved to F3 Italy last year.

Lewis Williamson was also in good shape at Silverstone. The man from England was quickest on Wednesday afternoon and Thursday morning. The Arden driver moved from British Formula Renault, where he finished runner up last season.

Valterri Bottas (Lotus ART) and Michael Christensen (Mucke) were fastest on Tuesday morning, and Thursday afternoon, respectively. Alexander Sims, who dominated the tests at Le Castellet, was again at the top of the field at Silverstone.

Those three days of testing at Silverstone showed the high level of the GP3 championship , with very small gaps between the drivers, and it is very difficult to name a favorite for this season.

The opening rounds will be presented at Istanbul, in may 7th and 8th.
