GP3R: Dates confirmed for 2011 edition of the Grand Prix of Trois-Rivieres

By ,

The organisers of the celebrated Grand Prix of Trois-Rivieres have unveiled the date of their 2011 edition.

The organisers needed a series of confirmations from NASCAR officials to set a date for their event. Since the NAPA 200 NASCAR Nationwide event was moved earlier in August, and GP3R needing the schedule of the NASCAR Canadian Tire series (their feature race of the weekend), selecting a date was not easy.

So, the 42th edition of the GP3R will be held August 5, 6 and 7, 2011.

The press release mentions that the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series and the Star Mazda championship will again be back in the streets of Trois-Rivieres. The Castrol Canadian Touring Car Championship will also be back with a double header.

The other support races will be announced at a later date.
