Grand-Am: Max Angelelli and Brian Frisselle win rain battle

Max Angelelli and Brian Frisselle won Saturday afternoon the rain battle of the Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve in the Grand-Am Rolex Car Series.


The two drivers won the pit-strategy battle and finished in front of Romain Dumas and Timo Bernhard who themselves finished in front of Jon Fogarty and Alex Gurney.

Gurney and Fogarty now leads the championship standing for the first time since June. Angelelli and Frisselle fell back to second, tie to Scott Pruett and Memo Rojas, 10th today.

In GT, Robin Liddell and Andrew Davis won in the rain. They finished in front of Andy Lally and NASCAR Nationwide driver Brendan Gaughan,. Who drove the car for the first time yesterday!

Emil Assentato and Jeff Segal completed the GT podium.

With two races to go, Leh Keen leads Kelly Colling by 35 points in the standing.
