Last year, Japanese manufacturer Yokohama made a big splash by launching several interesting new products. Among them was the AVID Ascend LX , a premium all-season touring tire for the vast majority of passenger cars, vans and light SUVs and CUVs. This interesting product comes with a 130,000 km tread life warranty.

There is also something new from Yokohama this year. The Geolander CV G058 All-Season offers sure grip for crossovers, small SUVs and vans, and is eligible for the $70 manufacturer's spring discount.

Yokohama also has a nice line of performance tires, including the ADVAN Apex unveiled last year for sports and performance cars and the ultra-high performance ADVAN Sport A/S+, but with more pronounced grooves that will help grip on wet or lightly snowed pavement.

Its BluEarth products are mainly intended for customers who are environmentally conscious. Of course, with their low friction resistance, they are designed more for hybrid or electric cars.
