The Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac tire

The legendary American brand Goodyear needs no introduction. Its experience with heavy-duty products shows with its product for light-duty and heavy-duty trucks.

Although Goodyear offers an excellent range of winter tires under the WinterCommand name, our experience tells us that its Wrangler All-Terrain Adventure rubber with Kevlar offers the best compromise for dry, snowy and icy roads, and even for off-road driving situations. In addition to its reputation for durability, it's also approved for winter and summer use.

Of course, you can’t overlook the DuraTrac version if you're looking for a very aggressive tire with superior grip in mud and snow for your work truck. It's a little noisy on dry pavement, but this product proves superior to many others when it comes to hard work.

The legendary American brand Cooper is now part of Goodyear, which is working to improve its products. Cooper offers a range of more affordable tires for pickups, but for winter, we recommend the Discoverer tires, including the Stronghold AT and especially the new Road+Trail AT . These models present themselves as winter-approved tires. We can also recommend the Snow Claw , a very aggressive tire.

Bridgestone brings back the LT versions of its Blizzaks (remember that SUVs and light-duty trucks can be fitted with the appropriate Blizzak WS90s). LTs are excellent winter tires for full-size trucks, especially on icy roads. Note that the W695 version is mainly intended for commercial vans.

Bridgestone also markets a mid-range tire, the Firestone Winterforce . It is available in LT or studded versions. It can be noisy, depending on the pavement surface. Available with studs.
