Goodyear
While I generally recommend the WinterCommand for pickup trucks, there are many Wrangler tires in the Goodyear catalog that could be used in winter on pickups and SUVs. In fact, Wranglers are generally classified as "all terrain" (or A/T). Only the Wrangler SilentArmor and Workhorse AT have the snowflake logo in the mountain silhouette on their sides!
The Wrangler DuraTrac and Workhorse AT-LT are more suited to heavier duty trucks. However, on some of the press vehicles we drove, the Wrangler Silent Armor distorted the steering. This was the case with a Jeep Gladiator Rubicon. For the latter (with the controversial ball steering), a WinterCommand would most likely have been more effective.
Goodyear also offers its Wrangler DuraTrac line of winter tires to owners of larger, tougher pickups, such as the Ford F-250, Silverado/Sierra HD 2500 and Ram HD 3500. While it provides exceptional traction in the snow, its tread is a bit hard, which reduces its grip on ice. What's more, its stiffer sidewalls (to accommodate a 125-kg load capacity of 1,650 kg per wheel) could affect the vehicle's handling precision. This observation also applies to all other tires of the same size.
