O'Regan's Automotive Group Achieves Ambassador Laureate Status MISSISSAUGA, ON - Paul O'Regan, owner of O'Regan's Automotive Group in Halifax, Nova Scotia, was named one of three 2006 Canadian Automobile Dealers Association (CADA) Laureates, as selected by the Richard Ivey School of Business, University of Western Ontario and sponsored by Industrial Alliance Pacific.O'Regan's Automotive Group, which represents both Nissan and Infiniti brands among others, was honoured by the dealer recognition program in the Ambassador category for extraordinary service to the community and/or the industry. Mr. O'Regan and his group of dealerships is heavily involved in various community initiatives, including the Abilities Foundation of Nova Scotia, the Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia, Junior Achievement, Big Brothers & Big Sisters and over 20 others. Mr. O'Regan is an active member of various industry and manufacturer associations including the Nissan Dealer Advisory Board, as well as the Nova Scotia Automobile Dealers Association. He also sits on the board of several others including Saint Francis Xavier University, Canadian Centre for Ethics in Public Affairs and Alderney Landing Cultural and Convention Centre. Mr. O'Regan understands the importance of promoting the automotive industry to youth in order to ensure a viable workforce for the future, by offering employment and training to students in industry related programs within local universities and community colleges."My greatest joy is in the development of people," said O'Regan. This year, the Laureate program replaced CADA's Dealer of Excellence Award, which was widely recognized as the highest career-defining honour a dealer could receive.
