9. 1963 Corvette Sting Ray

Here is possible the most highly touted of all Chevrolet Corvettes, the 1963 edition – affectionately known in the years and decades since as the Split Window, for obvious reasons. The model was completely transformed that year, even if it did continue to rely on a fibre-glass chassis and run on a 327-cc V8 engine.

10. 1965 Corvette

For some, this 1965 edition remains the most beautiful Corvette ever conceived. Its styling was definitely evolving, but more importantly it was gaining in power thanks to the introduction of a 365-cc V8 engine that delivered an astounding 425 hp. No surprise then that it has seduced so many classic-car lovers.
