| Manabu Nishimae, CEO of Honda Canada Inc. |
Honda Canada has announced that Manabu Nishimae has been appointed to the position of CEO at Honda Canada Inc. Nishimae most recently held the position of Deputy Chief Operating Officer and General Manager of Regional Sales Operations for the Japanese market- though he worked for Honda Canada's motorcycle division in the late 1980's. Nishimae hasn't worked for Honda on Canadian soil since Acura was a fledgling luxury brand, and since Honda offered only a limited selection of road-going products. "I'm very pleased to see the growth that Honda has made in the Canadian market since my previous assignment here" Nishimae commented. "The company has grown dramatically since then. The change is truly remarkable".Nishimae graduated from Japan's Keio university with an Economics degree before starting work with Honda in Tokyo back in 1977. He took a post with American Honda Motor Company in 1999 as Vice President of the Auto division. ''I am looking forward to bringing my years of experience in Canada, the United States and Japan to ensure the continued satisfaction of our many Honda and Acura customers here in Canada" he adds.
