The 2007 Bombardier Learjet Rookie of the Year Ryan Hunter-Reay has been confirmed as the No. 17 Ethanol entry with Rahal Letterman Racing for the 2008 season. This will be a return for the American since he joined the team for the last six races of 2007 and finished seventh on his series debut at Mid-Ohio.
