Hyundai Santa Fe Sport becomes 1,040hp “Santa-Fast” for SEMA show Also: Rockstar-tuned Santa Fe morphs into serious off-road machine

A pair of wildly modified and incredibly capable Hyundai Santa Fe Sport SUVs will be on display at the 2016 SEMA show in Las Vegas (November 1-4).

First, Hyundai and Bisimoto have renewed their partnership to develop a 1,040-horsepower, rear-wheel-drive “Santa-Fast.” The 3.8L V6 received a custom twin-turbo kit and several other upgrades, the 6-speed manual transmission is specific to this model, and the lowered chassis rides on 19” Tarmac R40 wheels.

Design modifications include a Denmatic styling scheme and custom grille on the outside, plus Momo Daytona EVO seats and a 4-point chromo roll cage inside, among others.

The other specially tuned Hyundai Santa Fe for SEMA is the work of Rockstar Performance Garage. It combines a nitrous-powered, Hyundai-based 3.3L Lambda V6 engine with a raised Santa Fe suspension setup and massive 35” Mickey Thompson Baja Claw all-terrain tires for serious off-road capability.

Rock sliders and bumpers, custom roof rack, headlamps and taillamps, a WARN winch, and Bulldog LED lighting are also part of the package.
