ILMC: Sébastien Bourdais and Anthony Davidson team up in Imola

By ,

According to Autosport , Peugeot duo Anthony Davidson and Sébastien Bourdais , both former Formula 1 drivers, will share a car for the first time in Imola, next weekend.

The drivers have been racing in the same series and even the same team before, but never in the same car.

Davidson was used to sharing the No. 7 Peugeot with Marc Gene and Alex Wurz while Bourdais was sharing the No. 9 car with Pedro Lamy and Simon Pagenaud.

Bourdais and Davidson will share the No. 7 next weekend as only two turbodiesel machines were entered. Franck Montagny and Stéphane Sarrazin will take the wheel of the second entry.

"We fully expect a very closely-fought contest throughout the six hours at Imola, and that's why we're entering two cars driven by sprinters," Peugeot Sport director Olivier Quesnel told Autosport .

There is no drivers' title in the ILMC. Peugeot is leading the manufacturers championship by 34 points ahead of Audi.
