From Walker Racing Stefan Wilson has been announced as the driver of the #19 FIRST Motorsports entry in the 2009 Firestone Indy Lights Series. Stefan, who hails from Sheffield, England brings with him a resume which includes four wins in the 2008 British Formula 3 Championship. The younger brother of Justin Wilson, IndyCar and former Formula 1 star began his racing career at the age of nine. In 2007, he claimed four pole positions, four race wins, six fastest laps and two outright lap records on his way to finish 2nd in the Formula Palmer Audi Championship. Following that season, Stefan beat five of the top racing talents Britain had to offer to be named Winner of the McLaren Autosport BRDC Award. FIRST Motorsports has secured the services of the renown racing organization, Walker Racing to manage race operations for the Team. It recently purchased its 2007 chassis, which is currently going through preparation, with an extensive road course pre-season test schedule throughout the month of March.
