Indy Lights: Mikael Grenier with TMR at the Grand Prix of Trois-Rivieres

Quebec City’s Mikael Grenier will race with Team Moore Racing this weekend at the Grand Prix of Trois-Rivieres.

Grenier contested the first four races of the season with O2 Racing Technology, finishing in the top-10 of each of them.

Unfortunately, Indy Car has suspended the entrant license/membership of O2 Racing Technology and the individual membership of team owner Mark Olson until December 31, 2012, for actions during The Milwaukee Mile event June 18-19, a race that Grenier did not take part in.

Weeks prior to the most important race of the season, Grenier was left without a car.

“I knew we would find a solution. We’ve been talking with TMR for a week and we eventually reached an agreement,” Grenier told Auto123.com.

“I am glad to join TMR because they are one of the best Indy Lights teams. O2 Racing were a rookie team and had no data from previous seasons. O2 Racing sent my racing seat to TMR and I will not drive the car before the first free practice session on Friday,” Grenier added.

The young driver drove the street circuit of Trois-Rivieres in his Star Mazda days. “I know the track well, which will be an advantage because none of the teams have raced there before,” Grenier ended.
