What will be different is that qualifying for the first race will take place as normal, but afterwards a draw will be held to decide the race-two starting order.

"With the starting field for the second race set by random draw,” IndyCar competition president Brian Barnhart said.

“You could see the winner from the first race starting from the back of the field, creating quite a bit of drama.

"We want to make sure we're ensuring a strong field for race two to keep the excitement and momentum going throughout the entire event."
