Things are looking good for young Canadian James Hinchcliffe as Newman/Haas Racing has invited him for a second two-day test at the Sebring International Raceway.
“Hinch” will be driving the Indy car on January 20 and 21.
The 24-year-old from Toronto quickly got up to the plate in his first outing in the Dallara-Honda of the Newman/Haas squadron, ending his December test with the fastest lap of the final day.
“I’m naturally pleased to be invited back for a second test with Newman/Haas Racing,” stated the 2010 Firestone Indy Lights Series’ runner-up.
“December’s test was a productive one for both parties and obviously I was happy to get some seat-time in an IndyCar,” he added.
Speaking of Newman/Haas Racing, the team has hired a new marketing expert who visited several potential sponsors with Oriol Servia. Bernie Haas would like to run both Servia and Hinchcliffe in 2011.
