Japanese car manufacturer Mazda has decided to provide a scholarship to help the Indy Lights ’ champion to graduate to the IndyCar series starting next year as part of its involvement in the 'Road to Indy' development ladder.
Mazda is currently providing a scholarship to help the USF2000 champion to graduate to the Star Mazda series. But starting next year, Mazda’s support will be extended to the next level of the American single-seaters’ ladder.
In addition to the IndyCar scholarship for the Indy Lights champion, the Star Mazda champion will also get a scholarship to move up to the Indy Lights series.
