IndyCar: Rubens Barrichello would like to drive an Indycar

By ,

Rubens Barrichello was in Sao Paulo last weekend, visiting the Indycar paddock , regretting of not being able to jump into one car and get some action.

"I feel privileged to have a weekend off and be able to visit the Indycar Series. I know all the drivers. Tony (Kanaan) is the godfather of my son," said the Brazilian.

"Have no doubt that if these cars could be started a little key, you'd see an unknown helmet out there, taking a ride," added the Williams F1 driver, who revealed his temptation to drive an Indycar.

Rubens Barrichello was particularly impressed with the Indycar paddock and pit garages being devoid of secrets and intrigues which so characterise Formula 1.

"Here you have a car similar to all. Difference is in the tuning and setup, but the cars are all very similar, so [as a driver] you don’t have anywhere to hide," explains Rubens Barrichello.

Regarding his Williams FW33, the veteran Brazilian said: "We are working on new parts on the front and rear wings. Everywhere actually aerodynamics and brakes."
