We’ve long been awaiting a first look at the next midsize SUV from INFINITI , but the company surprised visitors at the 2017 New York International Auto Show by lifting the veil on the QX80 Monograph full-size concept instead.
For INFINITI, the launch signals its intention to be more competitive and innovative in the luxury full-size SUV segment. Based on the current QX80 , the Monograph design study is resolutely forward-looking, with its futuristic design and a level of refined poise that is beyond what we’ve seen from the Japanese automaker in the past.
Its styling, a unique blend of organic and geometric forms that conveys power and elegance, is the work of INFINITI’s design studio in Atsugi, Japan.
"The QX80 Monograph represents a detailed study into our expertise of exterior design," said Roland Krueger, President of INFINITI Motor Company Ltd. "QX80 Monograph shows our concept of luxury and style on the road, and is an exploration into how we could enhance our future INFINITI offering in the luxury SUV segment."
