The Four Level Interchange, the first stack interchange in the world, opened in California on September 22nd, 1953 after four years of construction. Located at the northern edge of Downtown Los Angeles, it connects U.S. Route 101 to State Route 110.

In 2006, the name was changed to Bill Keene Memorial Interchange in honour of the former KNX and KNXT traffic and weather reporter.
