This is the car Master James Hunt drove to his last-ever Formula 1 victory at the Japanese Grand Prix in 1977 at the Fuji Speedway, beating Carlos Reutemann in a Ferrari and Patrick Depailler in a 6-wheel Tyrrell.

The M26, chassis number 3, is powered by a Ford Cosworth DFV V8 normally aspirated engine that produced 490 horsepower at 10,500 rpm and fitted with a Hewland gearbox.

The M26 has been beautifully preserved and is race-ready, capable of 0-60mph in 3.5 seconds, and a top speed of 195mph.

The November RKMCCA auction will feature hundreds of collector cars representing multiple categories of investment-grade vehicles, from America’s favorite muscle cars to rare European entries.
