Jeep Grand Cherokee and Liberty recall affects 230,078 vehicles in Canada

By ,

Chrysler Canada will carry out a voluntary recall on 230,078 SUVs, including the 1993-2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee and 2002-2007 Jeep Liberty, to offer a structural improvement to mitigate the risks of fuel leakage in certain low-speed collisions.

Chrysler dealers will inspect the affected vehicles and install a trailer hitch if appropriate.

This comes after Chrysler finally decided to comply with the NHTSA , which had requested a recall on 2.7 million Jeep vehicles in the U.S.
