Jeep teases with Easter Moab sneak peek

By ,

Each year, Jeep and Mopar team up to bring some groovy Jeep concepts to the Easter Jeep Safari in Moab, Utah. This year, Jeep is teasing us with renderings of wee bits of the Jeep Mighty FC, Jeep J-12 and Jeep Wrangler Apache concepts, three of six they’re planning to bring to Moab.

While the Apache is explicitly a Wrangler variant and the J-12 appears to be as well, the Mighty FC is a mighty mystery, looking like a cross between a pick-up and the cab of a semi.

Last year’s groovy half-dozen were the Compass Canyon, the zebra-striped Jeep Cherokee Overland (a modified Liberty), an off-road-ready Grand Cherokee to which Mopar added steel springs, skid plates, rock rails, a two-inch lift kit and 32-inch all-seasons, the Jeep Wrangler Renegade with 35-inch Baja Claw radials, the extreme Wrangler Blue Crush rock-crawler, and the lightweight, fat-trimmed Pork Chop.

This year’s event kicks off March 31 and runs through April 8. The Red Rock 4-Wheelers of Moab officially run about nine different trails each day. An indoor vendor and information display takes Thursday and Friday. “Big Saturday” culminates in about 30 groups lining up in downtown Moab to head off for 30 different trails.
