After the USF1 project collapse, Jose Maria Lopez is aiming to drive in Touring Car, in the Argentinean championship, or in WTCC.
« Pechito », who was expected to make his debuts in F1 in Bahrein this weekend until USF1’s project collapsed, is about to test a car of the TC2000 series (the Argentinean Touring Car championship).
Lopez already competed in the TC2000 series the last three seasons, and he clinched the title in 2008 and 2009.
He tested a Team New Petrobras’ Honda Civic in the Alta Garcia Circuit earlier this week.
According to www.corsaonline.com , Lopez would also in contact for a drive in the World Touring Car Championship.
