Karting: Grand Finals Rotax in Portimao

The World Rotax Challenge finals were presented this week end in Portimao, Portugal.

South African driver Cristiano Morgado took victory in the DD2 Master category , ahead of Scott Campbell, from Canada. Luc Sauriol, from Quebec, secured 8th place overall.

In DD2 class, British driver Ben Cooper, who lives in Canada, won the race ahead of Konstantins Calko, from Lituania. Canadian drivers Zacharie Richard-Robichon and Nicholas Latifi take 8th and 11th position, respectively.

Harry Webb, from Great-Britain, dominated 125 Junior class ahead of Dutch driver Janneau Esmeijer and Canadian driver Parker Thompson. It was a 1-2-3 sweep for Great Britain with Charlie Eastwood’s win ahead of fellow countrymen Edward Brand and Oliver Hodgson.

The win in the Micro Max category went to young Belgian driver Ayrton Simmons ahead of Juan Carlos Resoagli of Spain.
