Lamborghini Batman killed in car crash Maryland's own Batman passes away

By ,

In a sad turn of events, Maryland’s own “ Lamborghini Batman” was killed yesterday in a highway crash. Reports state the Batman impersonator’s custommade “Batmobile” was having engine trouble, and when he got out to inspect it, his car was struck by an oncoming Toyota Camry, which then caused his own car to hit and kill him.

Lenny B. Robinson, the man behind the Batman costume, was just 51 years old. A wealthy local in the Maryland area, three years ago he quickly became an internet sensation when he was filmed whilst being pulled over by the police in full Batman attire next to his black Lamborghini Gallardo Batmobile, hence the nickname.

Since then, Robinson took it upon himself to visit sick children across the country dressed as Batman, bringing with him action figures, and Batman paraphernalia to lift sick children’s spirits. Many thought he was the real deal. Sometimes his son would even join him dressed as Robin. He also later acquired a real Batmobile, a replica of the George Barris car from the ‘60s Batman television show.

The world has lost one of its true heros, and for that we are truly saddened by the news from Maryland today. Our heartfelt sympathies go out to Robinson’s wife, children, family and friends.
