Los Angeles, California Acura Advanced Sedan Concept With a history of producing technologically advanced, yet conservatively styled vehicles, Acura seems to have received the memo that design sells cars. Acura says its Advanced Sedan Concept could predict how its future

luxury flagship models look and perform. Drawn in Acura's California design studio, the concept's pronounced hood and large grille definitely say, "aggressive performance". The sedan's proportions were determined by a nod to a "large, powerful engine" lurking under the concept's hood. A vee-eight, perhaps? At 2,020 millimetres wide, it's broader than some SUVs, and its huge 22-inch front 23-inch rear dubs only add to the sedan's intimidation factor. Like the controversial grille on the new MDX, the front of the Advanced Sedan Concept is aggressive and distinct. A tall, unique face wears a large five-sided Acura grille. "The front of the sedan communicates power and luxury," explains Acura designer David Marek. "The pronounced hood and large grille communicate performance, while the jewel-like Acura emblem captures the essence of pure luxury." The aluminum grille wears a large, cut-crystal Acura badge and the concept's headlamps double as air intakes. Consider this Acura's 300C and a fine replacement for the current sedately styled Acura RL flagship.
