We were expecting to see the new Nissan Sentra SE-R and surely, we did. The Japanese automaker offers the SE-R and SE-R Spec-V with 200 horsepower and 180 lb-ft of torque, not to mention a specially calibrated suspension. The Spec-V uses a 6-speed manual gearbox, while the SE-R gets a continuously variable transmission (CVT) with steering wheel mounted shifters. Both cars will hit the market in March 2007.

But the biggest surprise was undoubtedly the debut of the gorgeous Altima Coupe. Shorter and smaller than the sedan, this new coupe is inspired by the Infiniti G35 Coupe family while sporting straightforward yet sleek lines. Buyers will be able to choose between a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine and a 3.5-liter V6. A CVT and a 6-speed manual are available with both. The Altima Coupe should arrive in dealerships next summer as a 2008 model. Pricing has yet to be announced, but Nissan representatives claim their coupe will put fear in competing models. It sure has tremendous looks.
