McLaren yesterday announced Canadian pricing for its new Sports Series. The McLaren 570S Coupe starts at $219,750, while the McLaren 540C retails for $196,500. The company is taking orders now, and deliveries will begin in November.
Unveiled at the 2015 New York Auto Show last month, the 2016 McLaren 570S Coupe marks the first time McLaren has offered its original and race-derived supercar technologies in the sports car segment. Both this model and the 540C are rear-wheel drive and house a 3.8L twin-turbo V8 engine mated to a 7-speed sequential shift gearbox (SSG). Acceleration from 0-100 km/h takes 3.2 seconds (570S Coupe) or 3.5 seconds (540C).
Moreover, the two McLaren Sports Series cars feature gullwing doors as well as 19” front and 20” rear wheels. Their spacious and ergonomic interior offers a floating centre console with a 7” touchscreen which controls all elements of the infotainment system and the air conditioning.
