Young Michael Annett, 21 years old Toyota driver for Bill Davis Racing (same team as Jacques Villeneuve) won the ARCA-Remax 200 race at the Daytona International Speedway early Saturday evening. Québec-born Mario Gosselin from Florida could not do better than 32nd after being involved in a major crash around lap 30 as he was running with the leaders. Dario Franchitti finished 10th while Ottawa's Pierre Bourque was the best Canadian with his 24th place.
