After delaying the inevitable for 3 years, BMW has finally given the automotive world what they wanted: an M version of their hot little roadster. The recipe calls for the addition of the existing M3 coupe's fantastic 3.2L inline 6-cylinder. Output is unchanged at 330 hp and 269 lb/ft of torque. The transmission receives a quick once-over and gets a shorter final drive. This, combined with the Z4's lower weight, guarantees mind blowing acceleration and excellent handling. Brakes are borrowed from the CSL track-ready version of the M3.Exterior give-aways are the quad tailpipes and the lovely oversized M-style wheels. It should be available in dealerships next spring.
2006 Z4 Roadster pricing: 3.0 $53,900
