MotoGP: Casey Stoner dominates last pre season test day at Jerez

By ,

Casey Stoner dominated MotoGP's last official pre season test, held on Sunday at Jerez, in Southern Spain. Stoner won the traditional Fast-Lap prize of a new BMW road car for his performance in the morning shoot-out. Weather and on-track incidents ruined Valentino Rossi's quick runs, so that the huge advantage shown by Stoner may have shrunk back down to one tenth of a second by the time real racing starts. The Stoner Ducati carbon fiber chassis showed up well, after making that bike competitive again halfway through the 2008 season, and promising us some hard battles with Vale's Yamaha, which did not show how strong it may really be today.
