Living a Lifelong Ambition in CART with a Future F1 Career a Distinct Possibility
Ryan Hunter-Reay, one of two American Spirit Team Johansson drivers, is a rising star when it comes to auto racing. His career highlights include winning three Toyota Atlantic events as a rookie in 2002 and more recently moving up to race Champ cars with the big boys in CART. This year at the 2003 Molson Indy held in Vancouver, B.C., Hunter-Reay finished an impressive sixth place overall. That isn't bad for the 22 year-old talent who is an exceptionally good driver, not to mention exceptionally good-looking. Yum!

I caught up with Ryan after the big race on Sunday July 27, and took the opportunity to ask him a few questions.
AS: You are quite popular with the media, especially with the ladies, how do you feel about that.
RHR: It's cool. I love being here in Vancouver. The fans are great, everything's great. I can't wait to take a shower!

AS: What's been your favourite memory here in Vancouver? Is it just getting out there, or improving and finishing sixth?
RHR: I don't know. I mean I went from 14th to 3rd in Barber Dodge here, and today I went from 16th to 6th, so you know, it's not a really outstanding memory, but just the place itself is probably the best place we go to.
AS: How did you get involved with Motorsport in the first place?
RHR: I started racing go-karts when I was five, and then moved to the lower formulas when I was fifteen, and then moved up and moved up, and now here I am at twenty-two.
