AJ Allmendinger , who took over from Patrick Carpentier in the No.10 car at the end of the 2008 Sprint Cup season, is set to land a full time drive with Gillett Everham Racing and take over driving duties from Elliot Sadler . The American is in the final stages of negotiations with GEM and an announcement could be made soon, according to NASCAR.com . Before riding the last 5 races of the season for GEM, Allmendinger had been driving for the Red Bull team but was replaced by former Formula One driver and Red Bull protégé Scott Speed.
