NASCAR Canadian Tire: From hockey rink to road course

He may have been a hockey player in the NHL for quite some times now, but Patrice Brisebois is on the verge of taking his long-time passion for racing to a new level this coming weekend in the streets of Trois-Rivières.

The Montreal Canadiens defenseman will make his debut in the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series at the famed Grand Prix of Trois-Rivières (GP3R) in part to continue his growth in the motorsports world, in part to raise money for a good cause.

Brisebois will raise funds for the Dreams Take Flight charity, a program started by Air Canada employees that send physically and mentally challenged children to Disney World.

Even though it will be the 38-years-old first experience in that type of car, Brisebois has already competed in the amateur Ferrari Challenge for five years.
