NASCAR: Carpentier finishes 5th in Mexico

By ,

The race started in a chaotic fashion but finally got well under way as everyone expected road race veteran Scott Pruett (Dodge No 40) to win the Mexico NASCAR Nationwide race. But less than ten laps before the end, young Kyle Busch (Camry No 20) took the lead from him to get the checker flag. Following him was Tasmanian Marcos Ambrose (Ford No 59) and Pruett. Carl Edwards (Ford No 60) led a few laps but ended up fourth right before Canadian Patrick Carpentier (Dodge No 9). Ontario's D.J. Kennington (Dodge No 81) continued his great progression to finish 25th.
