It was the usual crash ridden NASCAR Craftsman Truck type of racing at the Kansas Speedway. A record 12 yellow flags were thrown. At the end, Kevin Harvick Motorsport's veteran driver Ron Hornaday (Chevy No 33) held back his own teammate Jack Sprague (Chevy No 2) to win the 250-mile race. Roush Fenway's Colin Braun (Ford No 6) finished third. Series point leader Kyle Busch was absent so Hornaday has taken the championship points lead. As for Quebec-born and ARCA veteran Mario Gosselin (Chevy No 12), his first venture in the Craftsman Truck series ended rapidly on lap 61 with engine problems. He finished 34th.
