Veteran Dale Earnhardt Jr (Chevy No 88) finally ended a 76 race drought by winning the NASCAR Sprint Cup LifeLock 400 Sunday afternoon at the Michigan International Speedway. Once again, it was fuel economy run and Earnhardt finished his race on fumes thanks to a spin by Patrick Carpentier (Dodge No 10) at the very last lap of the event. Kasey Kahne (Dodge No 9) came in second followed by a strong Matt Kenseth (Ford No 17) in third. As for Carpentier, even with his late race mishap, he ended up 23rd. Points leader Kyle Busch (Camry No 18) finished 13th.
