Last year Sprint Cup champion Jimmie Johnson (Chevy No 48) got the pole Saturday morning at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway for Sunday's NASCAR Sprint Cup Allstate 400. Mark Martin (Chevy No 8) was second fastest followed by Ryan Newman (Dodge No 12). Canadian Patrick Carpentier (Dodge No 10) got the 15th starting spot.
