Gillett Evernham Motorsport driver Kasey Kahne (Dodge No 9) has posted the fastest speed Friday afternoon at the Pocono Raceway in Pennsylvania for Sunday's 500-mile NASCAR Sprint Cup race. Jimmy Johnson (Chevy No 48) will start second while veteran Mark Martin (Chevy No 8) grabbed the third starting spot. Series championship leader Kyle Busch (Camry No 18) will be tenth on the starting grid while Canadian Patrick Carpentier (Dodge No 10) has well qualified again as he will start 24th. Only one driver did not qualify, J.J. Yeley (Camry No 96). Ironically, Yeley was among the fastest racers early in the season during the first testing of the season.
