The Finn, who is known as the Iceman for not showing emotion looked pleased when he said “the racing was fun.” But he added “too many cautions. Every time that I would feel like the car would start to run better, then you would have a caution and then it would take the track a long time before the handling comes back.”

The biggest news of the evening came from Kyle Busch who won the 200-mile truck race which was delayed by a record-tying 10 cautions and entered Raikkonen’s truck.

While Raikkonen wouldn’t confirm that he would take the next step up and run the Nationwide race at the 1.5 mile Charlotte oval, Busch when pressed admitted “maybe,” with a sheepish grin.

Although Busch’s KBM team doesn’t field a truck he admitted that there was a Nationwide Toyota car in his shop.

Raikkonen gave his own critique “you would rather run high up, but how it felt this morning now I’m pleased with how it felt in the race.
