Max Papis has raced most type of vehicles in his motorsport career, from Formula 1 to Le Mans Corvettes and now the Italian is seeking to make a career in NASCAR Sprint Cup .

Because he must qualify for each race, and isn’t running a full schedule, Papis’ crew chief has given the Italian-born driver some unusual advice to stay in shape and get used to the gruelling environment of a Sprint Cup racer.

Max says “keeping heat to maximum in my (street) Toyota to get used to the terrible heat in my Cup car suggestion made by Peter Sospenzo, my crew chief”.

Then he added, "I’m sweating like crazy, though but I will do whatever to succeed in this NASCAR adventure.”

Papis will be behind the wheel of the No. 113 Geico-sponsored Toyota of Germain Racing this weekend at Watkins Glen.
