NASCAR: Max Papis' foot dance (+video)

By ,

Max Papis spent most of his career racing single seaters, working his way up the ladder to Formula 1 where he contested a few Grands Prix with Arrows in 1995. He then came to the U.S. where he raced in the CART series, Rolex Grand-Am, and now NASCAR.

In this video, Papis tested what we believe was his NASCAR Nationwide car on a road course. The crew filmed his foot dance on the pedals.

Note that he started his run by braking with his left foot, before he switched to the more traditional heel-and-toe, using the clutch pedal again.

Note also how easily Papis can spin the rear wheels under acceleration, especially when the tires are still cold.
