Tony Stewart (Camry No 20) finally wins a NASCAR Nationwide race at the world famous Talladega Superspeedway. While battling with Dale Earnhardt Jr (Chevy No 5) most of the day, he broke away in a green-white-checker situation. Earnhardt would finish sixth but David Stremme (Chevy No 64) finished second and Bobby Hamilton (Ford No 25) third. Canadian Patrick Carpentier (Dodge No 9) dodged quite a few wrecks and finally ended up 8th. As far as D.J. Kennington is concerned, he was driving a great race fighting his way up to the front when he got tangled in a crash that eventually would see him finishing 26th. IRL champ Dario Franchitti got involved in a violent crash that sent him to the hospital but his condition was not considered serious before being transported.
