NASCAR: Patrick Carpentier back for a good cause

By ,

Patrick Carpentier will be back behind the wheel of the No.99 Toyota NAPA Auto Parts to take part in the Nationwide race at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve and is aiming for the victory and to support a noble cause.

The former CART, IRL and NASCAR driver will make a comeback in order to raise money for the Ste Justine Hospital Foundation, the same hospital that had helped his daughter in the early stages of her life.

Carpentier has promise to give half the purse he will get from racing in Montreal and fans will also be invited to make donations to the famed children hospital.

The NAPA 200 is to be held on August 18th and the total purse is evaluated at more than $1.5 million, the most important one of the Nationwide calendar.

Meanwhile, Carpentier could also take part in the Watkins Glen event to be held one week before and the Canadian is waiting for a confirmation from the RAB team.
