GEM driver Elliott Sadler (Dodge No 19) has the pole position for the NASCAR Sprint Showdown race that will be run Saturday evening at the Lowe's Motor Speedway before the All Star race in order to determine two of the drivers who will start the All-Star race. This race does not count for the championship but it has a first place prize of $1 million ! Brian Vickers (Camry No 83) and David Ragan (Ford No 6) will start second and third. As for Canadian Patrick Carpentier (Dodge No 10), he could not get to speed but will still start 27th and...last!
