NASCAR: Wimmer wins the Nationwide at Nashville

By ,

Once again, NASCAR's rising star Kyle Busch (Camry No 20) seemed poised to win the Nationwide race, this time at the Nashville International Speedway. But once again, bad luck struck, this time as a loss of control on lap 125 of 170. Kyle did not damage the car but lost two laps trying to get back in the race. Clint Bowyer (Chevy No 2) took command of the race but was passed very late in the event by Scott Wimmer (Chevy No 29) who, at the same time, got his first victory in five years. Defending champ Carl Edwards (Ford No 60) finished third. As for Kyle Busch, he had to settle for 16th. By the way, Canadian driver D.J. Kennington (Dodge No 81) finished 34th.
